Vince Minnillo, an American from Cleveland Ohio, married his wife Helen Bercer, from Manila, Philippines in 1974 with friends and family present. They came from different communities and made their relationship work. Their first child Vanessa was born in November 1980 in Angeles City, Philippines. They adopted a son, Vincent, two years later and raised the two children in different places as the dad was in the Air Force and this affected the children because Vanessa went to eight schools in nine years.
Unfortunately, the couple divorced in 1986 after separating in 1983. Helen moved to Turkey with the children and remarried. Vince remained a present parent and was seen at Madison Square Garden in New York City with her daughter Vanessa. Helen got the custody of the children but after being vacated in the 1991 Gulf War, she returned to America and left the children with Vince promising to come back but never returned.
Growing up, Vanessa did not have a close relationship with her mother to the extent she didn’t know she was getting married. They had not spoken for 12 years, since she left her with her father, and she only saw photos from the wedding online. She was the host for Total Request Live on MTV and a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight in New York. She hosted competitions and reality shows on two network sitcoms. Lachey hosted Miss Teen USA 2004 and in 2007, the Miss Universe beauty pageants. Lachey was on General Motors’ and Netflix’s Super Bowl commercials in 2023 influencing electric vehicles and magazine covers like Maxim, Vegas, Lucky, People, and Parents.
Lachey partnered with Flirt Cosmetics to launch a makeup line selling at Kohl’s department stores while advertising the spring and summer Bongo Jeans 2007 collection. She landed the lead role in the CBS crime drama series NCIS: Hawai’i for three seasons, from 2021 to 2024, although it was canceled by CBS in mid-2024. After being featured in the music video of singer Nick Lachey, they started dating and married in June 2011 on a private Sir Richard Branson’s Island in the British Virgin Islands. They have three children, Camden John born in September 2012, Phoenix Robert in 2016 and their daughter Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey born in January 2015. The couple hosted the first-ever live reunion on Netflix and have hosted every season on the show since 2020 when the couple accepted the offer from the producers.
